The right to represent a client before a court, or any tribunal, comes with duties and responsibilities, both to the client and the court. You are not only an Advocate you are also an Officer of the Court. Violate your duties to either and you will be the one with problems. Because of these sometimes conflicting duties you must at all time be aware of not only when you are approaching a ethical line but exactly where the line is drawn. Just how confident are you of your knowledge of your duty to "expedite litigation"? If it has been a while since you have reviewed Part Three of the Model Rules, or the ideology of Canon 7 of the Code of Professional Responsibility, this course will be an hour well spent.
